By using Scancourse you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please
don't use the app.

1. Who We Are

Scancourse is a South African app helping Grade 11 and 12 learners find
courses, bursaries and accommodation, calculate their APS, and plan their
post-school journey.

2. Your Account

• You must provide accurate information about yourself.
• You're responsible for keeping your password secure.
• One person, one account.
• Minimum age: 13 (under-18s should have a parent or guardian's
  permission).

3. What We Do

We provide:

• APS calculation from report cards (OCR or manual entry).
• Course and institution matching.
• Bursary discovery.
• Accommodation listings.
• AI-powered career guidance.

4. What We Don't Do

• We are not a university or educational institution.
• We don't guarantee admission to any course.
• Course requirements and bursary deadlines come from public sources and
  may be outdated — always verify with the institution directly.
• We don't provide legal, medical, or financial advice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Misrepresent your identity or marks.
• Upload fraudulent documents.
• Scrape or copy our content for commercial use.
• Try to break our security.
• Pretend to be a different person, or create multiple accounts.

6. AI Features

Our AI assistant and AI-powered "Why didn't I qualify?" / improvement
plans use third-party language models. Replies are AI-generated and
may be inaccurate. Always verify important information with primary
sources (institution websites, NSFAS, SAQA).

7. Third-Party Links

We link to university and bursary application sites. We don't control
those sites, and we're not responsible for what happens once you leave
Scancourse.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll show a notice in the app when we do.
Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.

9. Termination

We can suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms. You can
delete your own account at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data.

10. Limitation of Liability

Scancourse is provided "as is". We can't guarantee that the information
is complete, current or error-free. Use the app to inform your choices,
not to replace official advice from universities, bursary providers or
career counsellors.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by South African law. Disputes will be
resolved in South African courts.
